Zoo Trip Memorial Weekend

Today we went to the Indy Zoo with Nana and Papa. Both kids were excited to be going. Being Race weekend it wasn't too crowded until the afternoon. We hit almost all the parts of the zoo except the forests. Hannah and Owen both loved the Dolphin show, always a can't miss. A long day, the heat, and past due naps made both kids a little cranky toward the end. Owen zonked out before we made it out to the car, and Hannah didn't make it out of downtown before she was asleep.

The new Cheetah's were more sleepy than speedy.

After much crying and pleading to be let off the train Owen finally settled down and had fun. And we thought he'd love riding on a real "Choo-Choo."

Hannah's 5th Birthday Party

Today was the big day, Hannah's 5th birthday party. She was filled to the brim with excitement! She had a great time and got some great presents. We all got a chance to hang out and chat with our friends. There was food, cake, and after presents were opened, a chance to play on the playground. With all this excitement and no nap, she was wiped out at the end of the day. But with new toys clutched in her arms, she's a happy girl.

We went up to Lafayette to visit the Bentley's yesterday to greet our new family member Danica. It was a long day on the road, but the kids had fun. We also managed to squeeze a quick stop at Great Grandma Felix's house in since we were so close.

My sister Miranda had her baby this afternoon at 12:23. Danica Jane(not sure of spelling yet) was 8 lbs and 20 inches. We are all headed up after naps to see the new baby. Hannah is so excited to finally have a girl in the family!

Indiana North Optimist Meeting

Ben is attending the 3rd Quarter District meeting in Lafayette. Lots of long time optimist friends are here and asking about the family. Good thing I have my phone loaded with pictures. Speaking of, I'm writing this with my iPhone! Looking forward to a fun day of fellowship and service for kids.
