Cripe Reunion

We went to the Cripe Family Reunion today in Egypt, IN. We had a good time seeing family we don't see too often. Hannah loved the pumpkins. She carried around a small pumpkin around for part of the time calling it Hannah's pumpkin. Hannah enjoyed seeing Gigi. Gigi couldn't believe how much she had grown.

Daisy's "New Bed"

This is were we found Daisy this morning. I guess Daisy decided that she thought Hannah's bed looked comfy! She like Nana's afghan too! Nana, I thought you would like to know that Hannah askes to be coved with the afghan every night now!

A New Baby Cousin

Thursday evening we went to visit Ben's cousin Tracy in the hospital. Tracy and Brent (her husband) and Big Brother Terry welcomed Porter Andrew Smith into the family on Wednesday at about 4:30 in the morning. He is a cutie! He has a head full of blond hair. Hannah was so excited to kiss his head. Brent asked her if she would want a baby brother or sister. She said yes! Then said she wanted a baby brother. Later that night, she change her mind to not wanting a bother or sister at all!

My Little Reader

Hannah loves books! Here she is reading her new Halloween book "Where is Baby's Pumpkin?" It is by Karen Katz who is one of her favorite authors.

Shocking Words!

I was making dinner while Ben was swing with Hannah today. He was asking her about her day, what had she done with Mimi that day, etc. Then he asked her what Spotty and Daisy were doing. Hannah said, "Spotty is sniffing Daisy's butt." Ben looked up and sure enough that is what they were doing! Ben came running inside to share that one with me!!!! What a vocabulary! It made us laugh! Out of the mouths of babes!

Later that night we let her put on her dress-up princess dress. It is made with a lot of tulle and she calls it her "Ballnerina" dress. She loves to wear it and twirls around the house when she is wearing it! I will take a picture the next time she wears it!

Hannah's First Movie

We took Hannah to see her first movie in a theater this morning. We saw "Thomas and Friends on the Big Screen." It was an hour long movie that introduces us to 3 new Thomas friends. Hannah likes the new trains. The first one was named Billy. He is an orange train with bucked teeth. The second train was named Whiff. He is a trash collector and he wears glasses. The third is a truck named Madge. Hannah had a fabulous time and did a fantastic job watching the movie. We had to get popcorn too! Of course, that might have been her favorite part! Mommy and Daddy were very bad...We forgot the camera, so we don't have any pictures to share!

Duckies in the Tub

Here is Hannah in the bathtub with her rubber ducky collection. She hunted all over the house until she had found them all. We look for ducky wherever we go. You never know where you might find one! If you know of any place to find them, let me know! We are always on the lookout for more! We found some "Halloween" duckies at Factory Card Outlet. She loves her Pumpkin ducky. But her all time favorite is Nurse Ducky.

Family Cookout

Miranda, Chris, and Cavin came down for a cookout at Ben's parents house. We took a few family pictures. Hannah was NOT wanting to cooperate, hence the pictures with her hands in her mouth. She thought it was funny! These were the best pictures that we got on our camera.

Labor Day Cookout

We had a cookout at Smith's house for Labor Day. Hannah loved playing with cousin Terry. They had a great time running around the yard and on the deck!

Playing at Shadyside Playground

We took Hannah to the playground at Shadyside Park on Saturday. She had been asking to go to the "big" playground. We had a lovely day to go and stayed for about 90 minutes. Hannah got brave and went down the really big twisty slide.

Hannah's First Football Game

We took Hannah to her first football game on Friday night. It was Highland vs. Owen Vally. Highland won 42-0! Our real reason for going was to see the band preform the State Fair winning show. The show is based on Highland Cathedral, which was one of my favorite piper songs. Hannah did pretty well. She loved seeing the band, she stood and clapped when they played "Scotland the Brave." Mommy and Daddy are so proud! I do have to admit, I think her favorite thing was getting popcorn! After the band performed at half-time, Mr. Flecther, the band director, presented Mr. Finger, the principal (and our old band director) with the trophies from this year's marching season.
