Family Trip to the Pumpkin Patch
Today was our trip to the pumpkin patch. Hannah had gone yesterday, but Owen hadn't had his chance. And like Hannah would skip going again. All of us had a good time. Timid Owen had to be carried through the barn, but warmed up enough to pet a goat. We almost thought it was going to be a no-go on the hay ride, but once we got going he loved it. Next we tackled the corn maze. Hannah led the way with Owen trying to keep up the whole time. It was a lot of walking so both were ready to pick their pumpkins and head for home. Now we need to figure out a time to carve them....
As always there are more pictures on our Flickr page.

Hannah's Trip to the Pumpkin Patch
Hannah's Kindergarten class went to the pumpkin patch today. Janell was able to go with her to help chaperone the class and take pictures!

Muncie Children's Museum
We had a good time at the Muncie Children's Museum today. Owen spent most of his time watching the "Choo-Choos!" going round and round on the big display. Hannah roamed all over and even got to pet a snake! Owen wanted nothing to do with that.

EAA AirVenture 2010
I got to travel to Oshkosh, WI for the Experimental Aircraft Association(EAA)'s AirVenture 2010. It's the world's largest full scale fly-in. Or at least that's what it felt like. People's personal planes being flown in constantly, along with amazing Warbirds and jets. I was working the AMA booth in the museum so that's pretty much all I got to see, and as you can tell by the pictures on Flickr, and below that was plenty.

Owen's 2nd Birthday
Today was Owen's Birthday. Our little boy is turning 2!! If you haven't figured out by now he has a serious love of Thomas Trains. It doesn't help that Daddy is reliving his childhood playing with the trains too. So to celebrate we had his party at Trains Galore in Noblesville. It's an online store that sells Thomas Trains and has a small storefront, but mostly ships online orders. Well they just redid their offices and decided to make a Thomas themed party room to rent. We got to be the first ones to try it out. As you can see from some of the pictures below it was a huge hit!

Day out with Thomas
Today we went to Connersville for a "Day out with Thomas." Owen is big into Thomas the Tank Engine so we figured he would have a great time with this. We got to ride on a real train with a full scale Thomas as the engine. There were lots of activities and things for the kids to do.
Check out some of the pictures below.

Red Bull Air Races NYC
About 3 months ago AMA was asked to be an exhibitor at the NYC Red Bull Air Races, so last weekend I and a few coworkers attended to promote the AMA and model aeronautics. I volunteered to drive 14 hours both ways to get our setup there. It was a long drive, and long days, but so worth it for the AMA and as a personal experience. I never made it into the Manhattan, the races were actually in New Jersey, but that was ok by me. The experience in New Jersey gave me a pretty good glimpse of "big city" life. I'll try to get photos up on flickr and posted here soon.

Zoo Trip Memorial Weekend
Today we went to the Indy Zoo with Nana and Papa. Both kids were excited to be going. Being Race weekend it wasn't too crowded until the afternoon. We hit almost all the parts of the zoo except the forests. Hannah and Owen both loved the Dolphin show, always a can't miss. A long day, the heat, and past due naps made both kids a little cranky toward the end. Owen zonked out before we made it out to the car, and Hannah didn't make it out of downtown before she was asleep.
Check out the pictures below to see some of our adventures.

The new Cheetah's were more sleepy than speedy.
After much crying and pleading to be let off the train Owen finally settled down and had fun. And we thought he'd love riding on a real "Choo-Choo."
Hannah loved the splash zone after a hot day.
The polar bear kept playing peek-a-boo from his cool cave.
A fun day for all!
